forests are known as the lung of the earth because due to forest which contains trees we are able to breathe if there weren't any tress we wouldn't be able to live because when plants make there food with photosynthesis they release oxygen which we inhale and we exhale carbondioxide which plants inhale this is how the plants and human are dependent on each other and also the forest are known as the lung of the earth
