Frogs and toads reproduce in ponds and lakes. They like places where the water flow is stagnant or very slow.
The reason for this is that female frogs and toads give out large quantities of eggs, which they want it to be surrounded by jelly.
Also, male and female frogs feel comfortable in having sexual closeness in slow or stagnant water.
