the intermolecular space between the molecules of gases is too much as compared to solids and liquids. so due to this large spaces between the molecules the molecules of other gases get enough space to mix up. therefore gases diffuse very fast.

hope it was helpful.

gases have a very loose intermolecular attraction.due to that ,the particles are not very tightly packed.so that they continuosly move with large force. thats why gases diffuse very fastly. moreover ,large intermolecular spaces help for the movement.
due to bombardment of particles, gases diffuse faster than liquids and solids.

hope it helps!!!
