why do gases do not have fixed shape and volume

according to me because gas has less intermolecular force of attraction between the particles

Gases have very weak force of attraction so they have large space between molecules which keep moving randomly is different direction. Hence, they take the shape of the container they are in. So, they son't have fixed shape and volume.
