Why do gases have neither a fixed shape nor a fixed volume?

Gases are the fluid form of matter which flow from one place to other very easily and requires a container to store it.
As gases posess more inter MOLECULAR space and less force of attraction they move with high K.E every where.
They have a tendency of filling the entire part of container by taking the shape of container.
Because of all these reason gases don't have a fixed shape and volume.

A gas is a substance with no definite volume and no definite shape.solids and liquids have volume that do not change easily. a gas on the other hand,has a volume that changes to match the volume on its container.the molecule on a gas are very far apart compared with the molecules in a solid or liquid
