why do gases have neithr a fied shape nor a fixed volume?​

Hey mate.

In the gases the particles are loosely packed and intermolecular spaces between them are very large.and the intermolecular force of attraction is negligible..Thus the particles can move randomly in all directions with high velocity. thus the gases have neither fixed shape nor definite volume.
