Why do gases move in and out of the alveoli but not through any other conducting tissues? according to the class 11 syllabus.

Answer:

Because alveoli are made up of epithilial layer of simple squamous epithilium,which is very thin and it allows the exchange of gases.Other conducting tissue are not as thin as simple squamous epithilium
