Genes always occur in pairs because each parent has two pairs of jeans when is X chromosome in the other is Y chromosome which causes a girl or a boy.

Genes occur in pairs, as each of our parents has two copies of each of their genes, and each of them passes along just one copy to make up their genes we have. Genes passes on to us to determine many of our traits,like the colour of  our hair and skin.
