why do giraffes have long necks?

this added length also helps against predators because the giraffe is so big and tall they are often left alone by predators. Another important use for the long neck is fighting among males which is called 'necking'. Male giraffes swing their long necks and use their strong heads and horns as clubs.

giraffes has long necks due to the process of natural selection.As when the giraffe has short neck then they eat grass on land and when the amount of grass get insufficient on land then they have not food to eat and they started dying due to star ation.Then nature had caused variation in them during time of reproduction that caused their long necks .Due to long necks they can eat leaves on trees and that help them to survived. therefore it is firmed due to natural selection for their survival. if u like it then chose as brainliest
