Why do gold and silver do not react with dilute hydrochloric acid

A number of metal that don't react with water will react with delute acids. Metals such as zinc magnesium and iron react quite readily with cold delute hydrochloric acid to produce hydrogen gas and salts .......Less reactive metals such as copper silver and gold don't react with these acids
