why do gold and silver not react with acid

➡️ The products of acid/metal reactions are a salt and hydrogen gas. Some metals are so unreactive that they do not react with dilute acids at all, e.g. copper, silver and gold.

because the are in the pure form means non of the metals will react if it is not in a pure form means it will react
