why do goldsmith uses the outermost zone of the flame to melt gold or silver?

because the outermost part of the flame is the hottest part ...a thin layer of bluish thige ingulfs the other two part and it is the hottest part...that's why Goldsmith use outermost zonenof flame...

Goldsmith uses the outermost zone of the flame to melt gold or silver because outermost zone of flame is the hottest part of the flame which helps to give proper shape to gold ornaments. The temperature of the outermost zone is around 1300°C sufficient to melt gold at specific points..
