Why do HCL and HNO3 show acidic characters in aqueous solution while solution of compund like alcohol and glucose do not show acidic character

when HCL,HNO3 are in aqueous solution then they liberate hydrogen ions thus, they show acidic character but when alcohol and glocuse are in the aqueous form the they don't liberate hydrogen ion.therefore they don't show acidic characteristic.
