Why do HCl,HNO3,etc., show acidic characters in aqueous solutions while solutions of compounds like alcohol and glucose donot show acidic character?

Becoz HCl, HNO3 are acids where as alcohol, glucose are not acids but contain hydrogen ions . Only acids release H+ ions in aqueous solution ...
