anwer when HCl or hno3 are mixed with water then they dissolve in water to form H+ or H3o ions which show their acidic character . while when alcohol or glucose are mixed in water then they do not dissolve in water to form ions . hence they do not acidic character.

H+ ions in aqueous solution are responsible for acidic character. HCl, HNO3, etc. give H+ ions in water while alcohol and glucose do not give H+ ion in water. Therefore, alcohol and glucose do not show acidic character.
