The simple answer is what you have tagged in your question.
The heels have a smaller surface area than the trainers.
So, the cross section of heels will produce larger pressure on any surface then the trainers.

Heels have lesser surface area than trainers, and as we know Pressure is indirectly proportional to area(which means if area is increased pressure will be decreased and Vice Versa) , so pressure due to cross section of heels is applied more than trainers that is why heels sink in turf while trainers don't.
