herbivores are plant eating animals
we know that cellulose is present plants. In order to digest this cellulose they have longer intestine

Herbivores have to eat only items which has a lot of cellulose. To digest that they require longer intestines. But carnivorous animals can easily digest the soft meat. Hence shorter intestines is sufficient..
