why do herbivores have longer small intestine than carnivores?

They have longer intestine bcoz their intestine are designed for digestion of plants and organic material..a longer intestine helps them for digestion of this material completely..simply digestion takes a long time than carnivores..thank you....HOPE THIS WILL HELP..U

Herbivores eating grass need a longer small intestine to allow the cellulose to be digested. Whereas Meat is easier to digest, hence carnivores like tiger have shorter small intestine.
