why do Herbivorous animals have large intestine

Cellulose present in there food diet is not easily digested and thus takes long time. Large intestine stores food for longer time

Herbivores mainly eat cellulose which mainly requires more time to digest .
Therefore they have larger and longer intestine for maximum digestion and absorption.
