Himalayan rivers get flooded due to the huge precipitation they get consistently and furthermore as a result of the melting of the snow on the mountains which makes them flood and cause floods.
The Himalayan mountain range comprehensively incorporates the Hindu Kush, the Karakoram, and other little mountain goes that branch out from the Pamir Knot. Himalayan rivers are acclaimed everywhere throughout the world for their picturesque wonders and vacation spots situated on their banks.

The advantage of the flooding is that the flooding leads to deposition of silt in the plain or northern India and because of the this the fertility of the plains increases.

There are two main reasons why Himalayan rivers get flooded every year. They are:

# Heavy rains during the monsoon season

# Draining of melting ice and snow into the rivers from the Himalaya mountains

The advantage of this flooding is that there is a lot of silt and rich alluvium deposits on the river banks and the areas surrounding the banks. This in turn increases the fertility of the soil and helps in supporting plant habitat or agricultural plant growth to a great extent.
