Why do human beings and other birds and mammals need a pair of artrium and ventricle...Like why can't we just have 2 ventricles instead? Why atria?​

we have to have both atrium and ventricles .

Explanation:

Because if we have both the pair of ventricle only the deoxgynated blood goes to heart from body parts but oxygenated blood does not come back again and our body does not work properly. The atria function is to carry oxygenated blood to body parts from heart . if atria is absent or not present our body passes this deoxynated blood and our kidneys fails easily and it leads to death.
