2. Services: Facilities that are offered to people e.g. supermarket. Services have a threshold population, which helps explain why bigger settlements have more services.

Human settlements grow in specific locations only because of climate,i.e.. somewhere climate is too cold or too hot. Somewhere surrounding is not suitable and in some places we face shortage of rain or more rain. We also face less water supply and electric supply.
