Why are humans so fallible?
Answers
Answer:
We matter because we are conscious.
Because question our existence, we question our purpose, we question our intention and we question our destination.
It is because humans naturally tend to prefer sameness to difference and privilege the self over the other that the power of each branch of government must be kept in check. Politicians live in constant fear of losing their jobs by appearing to be fallible.
Answer:
In HALF truth (belief that “I am this body”) one is fallible.
But try the FULL truth—I am a spiritual entity that uses this body—then you are no longer fallible, but master of your body.
When you forget the truth about you, it is like you are removed from truth, and you become like a fish being removed from water on to the land. In that state fish cannot find happiness and peace in the pleasures of the land such as tastiest food, best accommodation, best relationships … etc.; it would be really happy only when it returns to the water. Similarly, for humans to be in happiness naturally, they have to know what they really have to know, or return to the forgotten truth, to the remembrance that they are divine beings. When each Kalpa (cycle of around 5000 years) begins human beings behave like devas (gods) and devatas (goddesses) and their religion is called Devi-Devata Dharm [also called Sanatana Dharma which is defined as “being even-minded everywhere and delightfully engaged in the welfare of all living beings”—Bhagavat Gita 12:4, 20], and they remain divine for the half the cycle—they are like deepas (lights). And then they fall into forgetfulness, into egoism, behaving like dweeps (islands) and begin to think they are this body and behave accordingly for the other half cycle, which means there is truth for half the cycle and forgetfulness for half the cycle, and cycle repeats.
Hence medicine for real happiness for humans is to return to the forgotten truth about their deva swabhav (divine nature). Interestingly, in some languages word for medicine is dava which has phonetic resemblance to deva as though reminding us the truth that there is health in divine life-style and in some languages word for medicine is marunthu which literally means compensating for what is forgotten. [It is not uncommon to see slight variation in pronunciation of word appearing in two different languages. For example, concept of God is conveyed through Deum (Latin, Accusative case), and Dev (Sanskrit); concept of fire is conveyed through ignition (English) and agni (Sanskrit); so is name & nam; saint & sant; heart & hrut; end & andh; path & patha; serpent & sarpa; star & sitara …etc.]
When one remembers he is atma (soul), a child of the Almighty, he would also remember he has all the qualities of God just like drop has the qualities of ocean, and he can imbibe those qualities from Him to any measure which would keep him stable in all types situations in life and would be powerful enough to change thought when tempted to do something wrong. This is what one experiences through his/her practice of Rajayoga meditation. Your mind is like water that takes the form of its container. What you think, feel ..etc your mind becomes that for sometime just like anger doesn’t ask for your permission before expressing it—you realize you expressed anger after expressing it. Why? Because for some time, you ceased to be you, but became anger. Similarly, when you think the truth about yourself, you become the truth with all its power. And if you also link yourself with Supreme Soul through meditation, you become even more powerful.
