hey buddy !! here's your answer...
__________________________

✔️the bonds between ions in ionic compounds are formed due to strong electrostatic interactions. the energy required to break these bonds is very high . hence, these compounds have high melting point .

hope it helps !! ✌️❤️

Anonymous: friend when we say electrostatic interactions... it means transfer of electrons
Anonymous: it's not incomplete
abhi36038: thanks for the answer .

hey mate ur ans

ionic compounds have high melting point because there exists a strong force of attraction between the oppositely charged ion so a large amount of heat is required to Break the strong bonding force
it is for Same reason that ionic bond have high boiling point
hope it helps✌✌

abhi36038: incomplete answer
abhi36038: becuse ionic compound are formed by transfer of electrons this point makes the answer complete .
