hey mate ✌✌✌✌
here is ur answer ⏬⏬⏬⏬
Ionic compound have high melting as well as high boiling point temperature because,
The bond is formed between a metal and a non metal i.e., two oppositely charge elements( cations and anions)
Thus, this would increase the force of attraction between them which holds them tightly, hence these forces cannot be destroyed easily. (Ex. NaCl, MgCl, etc..)
Thus ionic compounds have high melting and boiling point temperature.(high temp. Is required to break their force of attraction) ..
Hope u understood my point..
Thanks

ionic compounds have much melting point than other compounds becoz it is formed by interaction between positive and negative charges.its bond is much stronger than other bonds so it becomes difficult to break the ionic bond.
hence the MP of ionic compounds and more than covalent or other compounds.
best example:-Nacl
Na+ and Cl-.
asaani se samjhana hai to bs itna samajho ki metal or non metal k bich me bana bond.
i.e
ab doubt hoga ki metal kya hota hai :-
periodic table me dekho clear ho jaayegaa
