Hii i am girl

ionic compound is made up of two negative and positive ion and make a bond which is electrostatic/ionic which is too strong and due to presence of high intermolecular force between two ionic molecules results the high melting point.

_______/\______☺️

hope it may helps you

Answer:

This is because of the strong attractive electrostatic forces holding the oppositely charged ions together and a large number of ionic bonds in the crystal lattice. These require a lot of thermal energy to overcome and hence have both high melting and boiling points.
