Isotopes of an element have same number of protons(and electrons) but they have different number of neutrons in the nucleus of the atom of that element.Neutrons are neutral species and do not have any charge...They only increase the mass no of that atom and so no chemical properties are changes but only the physical properties(mass no) changes.You can reason it like this.
