When earth rotatates around it does not take only 365 days, but it takes 365 days and approx. 6 hours. For our convenience we do not count this 6 hours. After 4 years, 6 hours becomes 24 hours ( 6*4=24 ). So, we add this one day in the month of February and in that year, there are 366 days, called as leap year.
