Why do lepidoplerans die when they feed on Bt cotton plant?explain how does it happen.

BT cotton is a transgenic plant which consists of toxins of bacteria bacillus thurengiensis
When the pest feeds on BT. Cotton, the toxins that are present in the plant body enter into the pests, when these toxins reach the gut of the pest, the inactivated form turns into active toxin due to alkaline pH of the gut of pests, these toxins finally kills the bacteria
