Why do less people live in deserts as compared to plains?

Because of climate difference. Facilities availability. Like roads , rivers, communication and transport

Humans are the most modern and civilized species ever existed on the planet earth.
We developed our science and technology to live a comfortable life,as our basic need is a comfortable life.
The desert's weather,temperature and resource's availability is very poor and not comfortable for the humans.
That's why we prefer plainlands to live rather than the desert.
