Hi,

Here is your answer

Liquids do not have any definite shape because:
1. The attractive forces between the particles are not so strong.
2. The inter-particle space in liquids is greater.
3. The motion of particles in a liquid is irregular and random.

So, they have a definite volume, but not shape.

Hope this helps you.

Answer:

This is because the intermolecular forces are strong enough to hold the molecules together but not so strong as to fix them into definite positions (as in solids). Instead, they posses fluidity and hence no definite shape.
