Liquids show the phenomenon of diffusion to more extent that solids.
Diffusion is a process in which sprading of substance takes place.
This is faster in liquids because the intermolecular spaces is more than that of solids.

liquids show the phenomenon of diffusion to a more extent than solids as solids are restricted to a certain extent but it is not so in liquids .
Also, the molecules in a solid are completely packed due to which they become rigid and loose the tendency to flow but , whereas in fluids , they have their intermolecular space is more which gives then the tendency to flow.
