Why do logic and reason fail to explain that which is true?

Answer

  • There are inherent limits to logic that can't be resolved.

  • Because logic and reason still have to be based on assumptions.

  • This is to say that they are such that no situation could arise in which they could fail to be true.

  • Even if we have never formally studied logical reasoning and fallacies, we can often tell when a person's statement doesn't sound right.
