The two magnetic field lines do not intersect each other because if they do it means at the point of intersect the compass needle is showing two different directions which is not possible.

Magnetic field lines do not intersect each other because if they did intersect each other then by placing a compass in that point of intersection would've pointed to different directions depending on the number of field lines intersecting at that point which is impossible. Hence magnetic field lines can come very close to one another but they do not intersect.
