meristematic cells are rapetadely dividing cell and are unable to prepare their own food by them self due to which for their division they have prominent nucleus ,dense cytoplasm and
lack vacuole. therefore they depend on other cells for their nutrition bcoz of which they consist of large no. of plasmodesmata.
