metals have strong bonds than non metals and for melting them we need to break the bonds so more energy will be required to break bonds of metals than that to break bonds of non metals

Answer....

METALS whuch are physically flexible elements that can conduct heat and electricity, tend to be solid at room temperature due to their relatively high melting point. NON-METALS which are physically weak and poor conductors of heat and electricity, can be solid, liquid or gaseous, depending on the element.
