why do migrate in large number from rural to urban area in india

The best answer may be that they are looking for job opportunities.They may also want to get a job in cities as they are more developed than the rural ones.There may be some more reasons such as lack of common healthcare,ration stores,etc.These are not found that much in number when compared to urban areas.
