hi friend here is your answer
A mirage is an optical phenomenon that creates the illusion of water and results from the refraction of light through a non-uniform medium. Mirages are most commonly observed on sunny days when driving down a roadway.

Mirages happen when the ground is very hot and the air is cool. The hot ground warms a layer of air just above the ground. When the light moves through the cold air it is refracted (bent). A layer of very warm air near the ground refracts the light from the sky into a U-shaped bent.
