why do most carnivores live in forest give reasons

Carnivores live in forests because it an ideal habitat for them and they prey they hunt.


Carnivores feed on herbivores, and they feed on plants.


Plants are found in abundance in forests, and hence most forests have many species of herbivores.


Forests also contain many species of insects which are also among the prey of smaller predators.

The reasons for the presence of carnivores in forests are :

1. The carnivores helps in the transferring the energy in a food chain from one level to the other one.

2. Carnivores has the role to check and have the control over the population of the organisms that are eaten by them. It is because if they don't eat other animals, then the population of other animals will get increased and will lead to imbalance of the ecosystem.
