Explanation:The winds which carry moisture to the western coast of all continents of the world get obstructed by the mountain ranges or whatever obstruction there is.So the wind rains down it's moisture on the windward side,and no moisture gets carried to the other side.So deserts form on the other side where winds are dry and there is no moisture.But in maximum cases,there is no obstruction to the eastern coast.So the winds carry moisture and the places on the east receive rainfall and deserts do not form.
