Why do most of the meteors do not reach earth?

Many meteors are tiny in structure which burns in the atmosphere itself without reaching the surface of the earth.

This is quite usual seen when we see the shiny light like appearance sometimes in the sky that fly at fast pace.

There are only few larger meteors that hardly reach the ground.

Most of the meteors do not reach earth. Because the meteors has a very high speed.The friction due to the atmosphere heats up. so the meteors glows and evaporates quickly. so most of the meteors do not reach earth.
