Night birds, like owls, have excellent night vision.

Like humans, birds have a sensitive retina at the back of their eyes that absorbs incoming light, senses it, integrates the information in it, and sends this information on to their brain.

Unlike in humans, the property is very highly developed in night birds, so image formation on their retina is sharper with high accuracy.

They generally have tubular eyes, thick retinas and more rod cells, and very less number of color detectors.

Vision is one of the most important biological features of any living organism in the world.

The vision quality depends on the eye and it's biological structures and characteristics.

The low light eye sight depends on the rod cells of the eye,and the birds have more amount of rod cell in their eyes, that's why they have an extraordinary night vision.
