Why do not bacteria survive in salted pickles?

Plasmolysis. The outside solution (the solution in which the pickles are kept) has a much higher concentration than that of inside the bacteria 's body. Since there is a higher concentration of salt outside, the cause water from the body of the bacteria to seep out, thus killing the bacteria
