Answer:

Maharashtra and the most of India is a located near water bodies making India a peninsular subcontinent. Due to the tropical climate in India, influence of monsoon winds and the seas, the tropic of cancer and the presence of the himalayas as a relief feature, we do not experience snowfall in a major part of India.

If India were to experience heavy snow fall, the desert regions and major crops would cease to exist due to the effect on soils. We would recieve lesser rainfall and have longer cold season.

Explanation:

In warm, humid places, such as Florida, there is significant moisture in the air, but temperatures are rarely low enough to produce snow. ... Even Antarctica, the coldest and iciest continent, contains a region called the Dry Valleys, where it is extremely cold, but so dry that snow never falls. Large numbers of accidents to pedestrians occur due to slipping on ice and snow affected pavements. Snow and ice are also important causes of loss of power and communications due to accumulation of snow and ice on cables, trees and masts resulting either in cable breakages directly, or in damage from falling trees.
