why do official records do not tell ? how do we come to know about them​

These records donot tell how the people felt about a particular law and how they reacted to these laws.

This information can be obtained from diaries maintained by people. Information about feeling of people can be obtained from the journals that people maintained and also from letters sent to relatives. However ,finding diaries, journals and letters is not always easy because they may not be available.

Official records do not tell us the feelings of a specific person or group of people. As official records only have the information that is verified, sometimes things go left out. There, we use the unofficial records. We come to know about them by the help of dairies, newspapers, magazines, etc.
