- When we exercise or do a work, our body uses O2 (oxygen) to break down glucose for energy.
- During heavy exercise or workout, there may not be enough O2 to break down the glucose,so a substance called lactate or lactic acid is made.
- This may cause a burning feeling or ache in your muscles, cramp, rapid breathing , stomach pain and weaknesses.
