why do parents give less priority to girls education​

Parents give less priority to girls in education as compared to boys because they believe that one day or the other they wil have to get their daughters married and after that their education would be of no use because in a typical Indian household, they will have to sit back at home and do the household work.

And as my perspective this is wrong thinking.

it does not happen now as much as it was happening in earlier times. But parents used to give less priority to girls education because they think that girls are made for household work not for education
