why do people breed a mother white Bengal tiger with her son and not with a normal male tiger?

A mother tiger might be bred with one of her sons and in doing so they are trying to increase the chances of a recessive gene and her litter being mostly white . This is done because white tigers are becoming distinct , so when a mother gives birth to a white male tiger , later she is mated with her son to produce white tigers .
