People cut trees in Northern areas because

  • Trees carry a large amount of precipitation that results in decrease of temperature. Excessive precipitation can also degrade water quality, harming human health and ecosystems.
  • In Northern areas the temperature is low and people use wood to ignite fire to survive in low temperatures.
  • Wood absorbs more heat than bricks and cement, hence, people use wood as construction material to build house interiors and houses in northern areas to regulate a survivable temperature in their houses.
