why do people hate people.

I believe jealousy is the primary root.

Longing and desiring for something that a person lacks can trigger negative emotions in a person. ( Of course this does not apply to all, I'm just trying to explain how jealously could result in hatred. ) Bottling all these up will eventually lead the person to cultivate hate in his heart. This is one of the reasons we find many people hating each other.
